Club Rules

Rule 1 Nomenclature
The club shall be called Leverstock Green Football Club & shall be properly constituted & duly affiliated to the Hertfordshire County Football Association & other Associations, Leagues & competitions as appropriate. The Club shall abide by the rules, regulations & requirements of all such Associations, Leagues & competitions.
Rule 2 Object
The Club shall provide association football for its members, which may include open age Women’s, & youth & such social & recreational pursuits as may be deemed desirable by its committee.
Rule 3 Officers and Election
The Officers of the Club shall be the President Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary & Treasurer & such other officers as deemed necessary & shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
Retiring Officers shall be eligible for re-election without nomination. All other candidates for election as Officers or Committee shall be nominated in writing by two voting members to the Club Secretary not later than the 14th of April in each year. Names of those nominated shall be circulated with the notice of the AGM. In the event of there being no nominations in accordance with the foregoing for any position, nominations may be received at the AGM. The Club must appoint an Auditor who shall not be an Officer of the Club.
Rule 4 General committee and Election
The General Committee shall consist of the officers & no more than ten members who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. The General Committee shall have the power to co-opt additional members not exceeding two in number. The General Committee shall meet as necessary & the proceedings at such meetings be recorded in a minute book. A quorum for meetings shall be 50% of the General Committee. All General Committee members elected at the Annual General Meeting shall be entitled to one vote. Retiring Committee shall be eligible for re-election without nomination.
Rule 5 Membership and Voting
Membership shall consist of Officers, General Committee, Honorary Life Vice-Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Team Management, Members & Playing Members & Associate Members. Membership fees shall be reviewed annually, & set by the General Committee. A register of all members of the Club shall be kept on the premises. Members entitled to vote at an AGM or EGM shall be the President, Officers, General Committee, Members and Playing Members. No person shall be entitled to more than one vote irrespective of the position held within the Club, with the exception of the Chairman who may have the casting vote, however in the event of a proxy vote at an AGM or EGM the nominee should be identified to the Chairman prior to the meeting in writing. Persons may not be admitted to full membership or be admitted as candidates for membership without an interval of at least two days between their nomination or application for membership and their admission, nor any persons becoming members without prior nomination or application be admitted to the privileges of membership without an interval of at least two days between their becoming members and their admission. Associate members are defined as those with Admission Ticket on match days, Season Ticket Holders, Visiting Club passes, Visiting Players & Officials, Club Social evenings and Social Bookings. Any member found committing a breach of any club rule may be expelled from the club & will only be able to return if the committee deem suitable.
Rule 6 Finance
The collection & disbursement of all club funds shall be the responsibility of the General Committee who shall ensure that proper books of accounts are kept. No member shall except for services rendered at the request of the General Committee, receive any payments or emoluments from the funds or transactions of the Club.
Rule 7 Annual General Meeting
An Annual General Meeting shall be held each year not later than 1st June. Notice of the AGM will be posted in the clubhouse twenty-eight days prior to the meeting.
At this meeting the following shall be transacted.
1. The minutes of the preceding AGM read and confirmed & business arising there from dealt with.
2. Standing Reports (Chairman, Secretary)
3. Presentation of Balance Sheet & statement of accounts.
4. Election of Officers, Committee &Auditor.
5. Alterations to rules, if any (of which notice has been given)
6. Any other business of which fourteen days notice has been given to the Secretary in writing.
A copy of the duly audited Balance Sheet, Statement of accounts & agenda shall be forwarded to each voting member at least seven days prior to the meeting.
Rule 8 EGM
An extraordinary general meeting may be convened by the General Committee and must be convened upon the written request of not less than 30% of members entitled to vote. The Secretary shall give seven clear days notice of such meeting to all members. The specific purpose of the meeting.
Rule 9 Alteration to Rules
No alterations to these rules shall be made except at the AGM or at an Extraordinary General Meeting convened for that purpose & only if supported by two-thirds of those present and voting at such meeting.
Notice of proposed alterations to these rules must be given to the secretary by the 14th April in each year & such proposals shall be notified to Members by the Secretary on giving notice of the meeting.
Rule 10 Club Licence Hours
The hours during which the Club may remain open shall be determined by the General Committee a& shall fall within the following permitted hours.
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday 11.00am to 11.00pm
Sundays 12.00 noon to 10.30 pm
Rule 11 Bar Rules
The permitted hours for the supply of intoxicating liquor shall be decided by the General Committee in accordance with the local licensing laws. No person below the age of 18 shall be permitted to purchase or consume intoxicating liquor upon club premises.
Rule 12 Visitors
Members may introduce visitors to the Club subject to regulations of the General Committee which shall be in accordance with the licensing laws. Members shall be responsible for the proper behaviour of their guests & children
Rule 13 Other Matters
Any matters not covered by the foregoing rules shall be dealt with by the General Committee, the decision of which body shall be final and binding.

Leverstock Green Ladies Football Team will not tolerate sexual or racially based harassment or other discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal and will work to ensure that such behaviour is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.

 

Constitution

1. The Club shall be called Leverstock Green Ladies FC
2. This Clubs objective is to arrange Association football matches and social activities for its members.
3. Leverstock Green Ladies will abide by Leverstock Green FC’s rules and regulations.

 

Conduct for Players download word document

As a player of Leverstock Green FC, I will strive to play in the good spirit of the Club’s name and to uphold the good values and constitution of the Club.
As a player for the Ladies team I will also strive to;

- make every effort to develop my own sporting abilities and attend training
- set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supporters
- avoid all forms of gamesmanship, and time-wasting
- not use inappropriate language
- give maximum effort during a game
- make every effort consistent with Fair Play and the laws of the game to help our team win
- know and abide by the laws, rules and spirit of the game
- accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally
- treat opponents with respect
- safeguard the physical fitness of opponents, avoid rough play, and help injured opponents
- show due respect towards the Team Officials of the opposition
- show due respect towards Match Officials and accept decisions without protest
- avoid words or actions which may mislead Match Officials
- show due respect to the interests of Supporters.

Conduct for Coaches

As a coach of Leverstock Green FC, I will strive to;
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every person.
- Place the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations.
- To adhere to all guidelines laid down by governing bodies
- To develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.
- To encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance
- To consider players age, experience and ability when coaching
- To clarify what is expected from payers and what to expect from the coach
- To cooperate fully with other specialists in the interest of players
- To promote fair play
- To consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance
- Not to use or tolerate inappropriate language.

 

Conduct forTeam Officials

As a team official of Leverstock Green FC, I will strive to;
- Set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supports
- Share knowledge and experience when invited to do so
- Avoid all forms of gamesmanship
- Show due respect to match officials and others involved in the game
- Always have regard to the best interest of the game
- Not to use or tolerate inappropriate language
- Give priority to the interest of the team over individual interests
- Promote ethical principles
- Show due respect to the interests of the players, coaches and other officials, at their own club and others.
